The Textile Museum 1999.6.1
Gift of Ronald J. Deutch and Pamela J. Slutz |
|
In
order to present outstanding exhibitions and programs year
after year, The Textile Museum relies on the ongoing generosity
of members and friends. Gifts can be made to support general
operating expenses, or one of the Museum's many special projects.
Sustaining
Fund
Gifts to the Museum's Sustaining Fund, an annual fund of unrestricted
gifts made above and beyond membership,
are particularly welcome. The Sustaining Fund supports the
Museum's general operations, including exhibition design and
production; ongoing family
programs such as Celebration of Textiles; content development
and design of initiatives on The TM Web site; development
of programs for teachers and schools; conservation of the
Museum's unparalleled collections;
publication of exhibition gallery guides, catalogues, and
the bi-annual Textile Museum Journal; and maintenance of the
lovely gardens and historic buildings that house the Museum.

Special
Projects
The Museum also has many opportunities for those who wish
to make gifts to support special projects, such as specific
exhibitions or publications, the Arthur
D. Jenkins Library, photography of the collections,
or educational programs.
Please contact the Museum's Development Office to learn more
about current projects at The Textile Museum.

Planned
Gifts
A planned gift often allows donors to make a contribution
larger than might otherwise be possible through outright gifts,
and can result in significant tax benefits. Types of planned
gifts include bequests, gifts of life insurance, or charitable
trusts.
